What belege.ai Does Well
The approach is strong and should not be dismissed as marketing. Instead of waiting for receipts to trickle in, the agent starts at the bank transactions. That makes it clear from the start which payment still has no receipt. For portals, belege.ai uses a browser agent that can also handle new portals.
It is operated via Telegram, with text, photo, or voice message, or via a Mac app. For self-employed people who photograph receipts on the go anyway, that is a very short path.
Handover goes to DATEV, Lexware Office, and sevDesk.

What that means for a normal month: with 100 to 150 receipts you pay €59 or €99. If you also want the receipts posted, you pay at least €199 on top.
What to Know Beforehand
The agent needs access to your portals. A browser agent that fetches invoices from portals has to be able to log in there, including with a two-factor code. Clarify beforehand how that works for portals that also hold payment details or contracts.
Price depends on documents. If you are near a plan's limit, busy months push you into the next one.
Receipts and posting are billed separately. The receipt plan prepares; posting happens only with the add-on or, as before, at your tax firm.

belege.ai fits if your bottleneck is collection: many debits without receipts, invoices spread across many portals, and you want to start today. If you work from your phone, Telegram as a channel is a real advantage.
Look at alternatives if you want a fixed monthly price regardless of document count, or want receipts posted without an extra charge.
