NameQuick 2.11.15
Neueste
Release date: 2026-04-01
New
- A new onboarding flow helps you get to your first working setup faster. First-run guidance is more structured and does a better job walking you through permissions, setup, and template creation.
- Build custom prompts and templates in chat. You can now create and refine naming setups through a more conversational chat-first flow instead of configuring everything manually upfront.
- LM Studio models can be loaded in-app. Browse, load, and manage LM Studio models without leaving NameQuick.
- File dates are available as template fallback values. Use created, modified, or accessed dates when a document is missing stronger metadata.
Improvements
- Presets and Rules have a redesigned editing experience. The updated split-view layout, inspector, and editor workspace make it easier to browse presets, edit rules, and refine naming behavior.
- Creating templates in chat feels more guided and reliable. Activation, onboarding, and follow-up guidance now lead you more cleanly from first prompt to saved template.
- AI model lists are now more up to date across providers. OpenAI, Gemini, and Claude now show newer supported models, and older saved selections are moved forward automatically when needed.
- Template editing is more resilient when fields, patterns, and rules change together. Pattern updates, cleanup rules, placeholders, and reorder operations now stay in sync more reliably.
- Unexpected AI output is handled more gracefully. NameQuick recovers more often, preserves valid filename output more accurately, and explains failures more clearly when a response cannot be used.
- The update experience is easier to review in-app. Release notes and update details display more reliably in the banner and updater flow.
- Local model and provider flows are more predictable. Selected-model behavior, provider routing, and local-model release handoffs now behave more consistently.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a licensing regression that could show the wrong trial or credit state after relaunch. Customer portal links and licensing details now stay in sync more reliably.
- Fixed false filename parse failures for valid bracketed or
brace-prefixed names. Outputs like
[Draft],[], or{Draft:Q1}are no longer misclassified as broken JSON. - Fixed onboarding and coachmark handoff bugs that could leave guidance stuck or out of sync. Presets, chat, and setup transitions now complete more reliably.
- Fixed stale navigation writes during activation flows. Route handoffs no longer complete on the wrong surface when an older activation step fires late.
- Fixed several edge cases in template patching and rule editing. Remove, reorder, duplicate-name, and preserve-mode operations now behave more consistently.
- Fixed process and timeout cleanup issues when external tools spawn child processes. Processing is more reliable and less likely to leave stuck or interrupted work behind.
- Fixed invalid-output and metadata fallback issues across providers. Valid AI responses are less likely to be rejected, and retry behavior is more consistent when a provider fails mid-run.
